How do so many teenage pregnancies happen?

We see it everywhere. Is it that they don't use protection? or is it that the birth control fails? Aren't condoms something that work well?

I blame the parents allot of the time b/c they are irresponsible and don't pay attention to their children.Parents don't educate their children well enough and they don't make sure they are protected or they just simply don't care enough to buy them condoms and birth control especially b/c most parents already no there kids are having sex.
Because so many teenagers are high on hormones and horny. Some teenagers aren't ready to have sex and they are uneducated about methods of contraception and have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Some teenagers are responsible and use protection, but birth control fails (if you read labels on condoms, or info on any kind of contraceptive, NONE of them are 100%). Some give into peer pressure and live to regret it. Some teenagers are stupid.
Stupid teens having sex thinking they won't get pregnant because it's one time and it happens. It's possible the condom failed or their birth control failed. Also if the parents decide to give their child money for their baby by buying stuff their baby needs than having their teen earn the money themselves to support it, then they are just encouraging them to have kids at that young age. Especially if they are going to be paying for childcare for them or taking care of it for them for free while they can go out and have fun like party, hang out with their friends, do sports, etc. If the parents just refuse to do any of that stuff for their teen and let them know about it, it makes them think twice about pregnancy and the responsibility and risks of having sex.
if you take a look on here you'll see teenagers (even as young as 13) asking questions about sex... it disturbs me. They get on the internet and ask the quetions they should be asking their parents. The advice you'll get from your parents instead of your aged peers will be completely different.
the answer to your question is that those who are pregnant have sex and even though using protection helps it does not make it impossible to conceive and not every teenager uses protection because they dont feel the need, dont want to, or they want to become pregnant
we all know how..we should ask is ''why''...i am 64...went to high school in the early 60's...we never thought about actual sex...we just goofed around wondering...we never heard of carrying a weapon..our big concern was home work..or the friday night dances and football ....not to sound old (i am) but it has allot to do with tv..movies and the computer...ANYBODY can get on porn cites...and they also feel that so and so got prego..so i am..yhe sad part are the abortions because they were stupid and now they don't want ''that thing''
It is because society has tought them it is okay to have sex. Instead of teaching our kids to just obstain (hard though it may be) we teach them it is okay as long as they are protected. And we don't set very good examples either.
From what I've heard condoms do work, the real reason why there is so much teEn pregnacy is because they are not talking to their parents. They are not finding out what happens when egg meet sperm. PARENTS HAVE THE SEX TALK WITH YOU TEENS AND NOT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES!!!! GO IN DETAILS IN WHAT HAPPENS TO FEMALE BODIES WHEN THEY ARE NOT READY!!!!
not in my city ive only heard about 3 teens getting pregnant thats all Condoms break and not everyone is on birthcontol and im sure if they were on birthcontrol a lot of them wouldnt use it correctly. Im 15 a virgin and on birthcontrol
they either don't use condoms or the condoms break.


birth control could be a problem, but its usually effective.


its mostly the unprotected sex, a very bad and stupid mistake
some aren't sexually educated about it, some people are stupid, some people don't take it seriously.
Some get caught up in the moment and don't think they need a condom. Or the pull out method fails.





With all of the methods of BC, there's really no excuse.


Except for rape...
coz teenagers have sex, 4get to use a condom, dont think about the morning after pill. they think that because they're young, they wont get pregnant.
um its not really THAT common. geez why are people on here so obsessed with teen pregnancies? I bet u already asked this like 5 other times.
It's because they're stupid and careless.
It's because they're uneducated. And the parents are even more to blame.
Teens are stupid (unless they are raped... then that's very sad and not the teen's fault).
