Do you have any tips or ideas for writing an original teenage love story?

Heya guys





I love writing stories, and usually I have a great idea, I start my story, but then the stories goes dull like old gum. Do you have any tips as to how to make my stories more interesting, or have any ideas (I'm not here to steal I only want suggestions) for a good teen love story?

yes.. first, you have to read. i recommend you read Vodka-Cola by Irina Denejkina, Junk by Melvin Burgess, The Rotter's Club by Jonathan Coe. Understand what a story about teenagers is and then write about them. try to concentrate on the main themes: drug/alcohol abuse, starting/curios about sexual life, all the bad-lust-related stuff. then, there is love, lack of confidence, bad results in school.. forget about the overused dramatic love, forget about teen fashion and stuff like that..


write about real teens. not about fancy, sweet sixteen rich girls, macho guys. that's just puberty;). keep writing, show it to your parents(they have read alot and know alot) or friends, and keep improving your style. read other books, be inspired but don't copy. good luckDo you have any tips or ideas for writing an original teenage love story?
Well Shelby, you could write about two teenagers that fall in love, but one of them has to move away!

from what I've experienced,


the romantic, dramatic, suspenseful stories always hit it off,


like Romeo %26amp; Juliet,


Twilight,


and etc. :)





You could write about some 25-year-old dude, an adventurer or achaeoligist or something, searching for some great artifact, kinda like Indiana Jones,


and he's in the woods, in the deepest unknown part of the world,


and along the way he meets a ';warrior'; from a tribe unknown to people, and she's also searching for that great artifact, so there's like a contest between them, so it's always tense but there's an attraction that they cannot deny between them..





or about one of the characters having special powers?


like the girl could shapeshift or something.


all alone, with no family or friends. lonesome.


Human girl by day, wolf by the moon,


and some dude was just camping in the woods,


and he encounters her and sees some wolf always watching him,


and then the wolf saves him from death or a fatal accident or something in the woods,


so she's like his guardian angel.


then as the girl was walking through the woods in her human form, the dude encounters her along the path,


and then they started spending time together,


but she knows she could never admit her secret to him -


how can a mortal and a shapeshifter can be together?





or this girl could have been born with a fatal curse!


and... and this dude and her met, and some prophecy had told the girl that the only person who could save her was this dude.





or, or... there's a dude who went into the cemetery late at night, and then he was bestowed upon a curse,


he's immortal and stuff, so he cant ever go out in public,


but people have seen him, so he's become something of a town legend,


and then there's this geek of a girl, shy and a history freak, and she became sooo curious she decided to look into the town legend and encountered the dude and then yada-yada,


the dude needed a friend, so of course they'd be attracted to each other -


horrer and suspense and of course romance rolled into one..





AAH, so many ideas, young one.
