Is it appropriate for a teenage girl to wear Bermuda shorts to a casual dinner night on a cruise?

My family is going on a cruise this spring. Is it appropriate for a teenage girl to wear Bermuda shorts to a casual dinner night on a cruise?
sure y notIs it appropriate for a teenage girl to wear Bermuda shorts to a casual dinner night on a cruise?
Not in the dining room! Take nice slacks (not jeans!) or a skirt instead. Every cruise line is very clear about what is not allowed in the dining room, and shorts of any kind are not allowed in the dining room. If you go to the web site for almost any cruise company you will find a link about clothing. To violate the dress codes is considered by many people to be disrespectful of fellow passengers and to the crew who work so hard to have things nice for everybody. If you absolutely ';have'; to wear bermuda shorts for your evening meal, you might be happier in the lido.
Even Carnival bans shorts from the dining room so I'm not sure why you have so many ';sure why not'; answers. On a 7 night cruise there are 2 formal nights where many people will be in prom type formal attire. The more expensive the line the nicer the clothing will be. Princess and Celebrity dress much nicer than Royal or Carnival. Though shorts are only appropriate if you will not be eating in the dining room.

Every ship has dining alternatives for those not willing to dress for dinner. A pizza bar or burger place up at the pool. But all cruise lines have a policy that swim suits, shorts and tank tops are banned after 6pm and it becomes resort casual. Most people will be in dress tops and black pants or sundresses.
I know from a lot of experience that shorts are NOT allowed in the dinning room at night. For breakfast and lunch that is fine, but all the cruise ships including Carnival and Princess require you to at the very least wear long pants. You will not be allowed in the dinning room at night with shorts.
Why not wear a nice skirt? Sometimes the dining room has rules. I've had a 7 year old son turned away for wearing shorts to dinner at a resort, so we went back to the room and he put on pajama pants! he got in then, crazy! but why embarrass yourself. Have a great time.
if it's casual i would say yes, wear whatever you want,

if it's semi-formal, i would suggest a cocktail dress with sandals.

if it's formal, long gown, with shoes that do not show toes.
It is fine. Especially if you wear nice shoes and a nice shirt, dress them up a little. But as long as the bermuda shorts like nice, you are fine for a casual dinner night
Shorts should be fine, but since its evening wear jewerly and dressey sandles plus with a cute top and your hair freshened up, you will still be casual but won't look like you did during the day.
I really think you should listen to phantom or Time Traveler. I went on a Princess cruise last summer and shorts WERE NOT allowed in the dining room for dinner.
Of course! It's casual! I wore jeans on casual nights and I was fine, so I don't see why you can't wear something casual on a casual night lol.
Yes. As long as you dress it up at least a little; you wouldn't want to look the same by day and night.
I believe it is appropriate, yes.
well try wearing capri`s instead, Bermuda shorts are good too.
No, you should dare to be different. It don't matter if anyone says anything.

Have fun on the cruise.
Bermuda shorts are casual so why not. Have a good time on your cruise.
