What are your views on teenage pregnancies?

Specifically, the case of the 14-year old father and the teenage couple who have twins? What are your views on teenage pregnancies?
Children should not be having children. That's what I think. What are your views on teenage pregnancies?
The human body is geared for reproduction after puberty, which occurs in girls as young as ten and in bous as young as twelve.

If you insert a penis into a vagina then, even with contraception, it is possible that pregnancy will occur. As the Meerkat says -';simples';.

The problem is , is that society is not geared to deal with teenage pregnancies. There are the conflicting views of the moralists to contend with - religious aspects, for example; the psychologists and their hangers on who call 'repression' when it is argued that urges do not have to be folowed willy-nilly (pun intended).

By far the worst are the advertisers who promote sexiness even in dolls - hence Bratz (with overtones of delinquency even in the name). The pop music industry also churns out muck that promotes early sexual intercourse.

Parents buy their offspring the sexy clothes and allow them access to the sleazy media.

Essentially, we have allowed childhood to be sold and allowed our young people to be forced out of the dolls and toy cars stage too early. All in the interest of someone making money. Parents, too, are all too keen to abrogate their responsibilities by sending their kids out onto the streets almost as soon as they can safely cross the road, in order thatv the parents can have peace to settle back in their imitaionleather armchairs, quaff cheap lager and watch Tricia and her ilk rail on against parental irresponsibilities and teenage pregnancieds
Teenage pregnancies seem to be the norm but it has nothing to do with lack of sex education but far too much emphasis on it.In this day and age of contraception's and advice there is no need for ';accidents'; so i can only come to the conclusion that it is a premeditated act with no thought of the future.
Sadly I believe it's the norm in society today. These kids have little education, parents that don't care where they are, what they are doing. They don't understand respect for others, see bunking permanently from school as 'cool' and have the morals of an ally cat!

I blame the parents, just look at those of Alfie, the fourteen year old dad...all his parents have been concerned about is the money they can make to sell his story. The pictures of him in the press were shocking and had he been my child, I'd be hiding in shame. He can't even understand words like financially' so how on earth can he raise a baby? As it has emerged his sister also had a baby at the same age, so that proves my point that people like this don't deserve children, and are a menace to their sons life.

With the benefit system so ready to help out teenage mums and dads with housing, giro's ,equipment and support, is it any wonder more and more are choosing babies as an easy way out. With one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy's in Europe, somewhere we are going seriously wrong and in my view, if parents were forced to support their pregnant teenagers, the rate would drop dramatically.
if youre having kids before your compulsory education has finished then something has gone wrong

the US has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the industrialised world. the UK has the highest rate in europe. just one of many examples of why the UK needs to be less like the US and more like europe

maybe if we treated kids as kids and not consumers things would improve
I dont think its infortunate at all, everyone appears in this world for a reason.

If people want to wear a condom then fine, they dont want a kid..... but if they dont want to wear one, and they want a kid.... then thats their choice, I dont see why its anyones buisness tbh.
UNNECESSARY.

Since the shame went out of being a sla**er and having a child while a child the numbers have increased.

Some people have no shame and no morals.

When did it become acceptable for kids to have sex?
I think teenage parents get shunned and looked down upon unnecessarily..Most i know are damn good parents, much better than most 'adult' ones i know.
Where is their youth in all this and why throw your life away for the sake of a fumbling attempt at sex. I use the term fumbling as I too was once their age.
Once is an accident, and should be helped in every way.

Twice is negligence and should be left to the parents to support.
Parents who, unfortunately, could not control their kids

thank GOD my parents won't let me have a boyfriend!
Oops, well, we can't blame the parents anymore, so let's blame videogames (for some reason) and erm...hormones?
%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;It's a community issue !!!
Its a waste of their childhoods and then their own kids think its ok to do it. Society spiraling into a pit.
**** happens. Poor kid.
Unfortunate, but not the end of the world
it happens
