There is a series called the Avon True Romance for Teens. They're historical romances, but very well written. I read all 12 when I was in high school. They're very hard to come by these days because I think they were discontinued. I don't know why. But try looking on amazon or something for them. Oh and by the way, if you like Meg Cabot, she wrote two of them!
If you read one Sarah Dessen book you've read them all, lol.


Ummm, A book I liked is Wasteland. Also try Wuthering Heights, It's kind of a classic I think. I don't exactly know if they're teens but I heard it's pretty good. I'm usually a heavy reader also but I forget titles quickly, unless the book was AMAZING or stood out.
I know what you mean by the small public libraries. What i do is look on the new shelf at the library and pick out anything that looks good.
