What kind of influence do you think Twilight has on teenage girls?

I'm writing an essay, and I need some ideas.

I've already written about sex [mostly, abstinence] and also how Twilight raises our expectations of boys.

Anything else?

I know you guys have more opinion than that =)What kind of influence do you think Twilight has on teenage girls?
How about the mass hysteria the book has caused, with half the girls falling in love with a fictional character?

It's all they can talk about, and I am sick to death of the Twilight-mania.

They don't even see clearly how poorly written it is!What kind of influence do you think Twilight has on teenage girls?
They are good books and all but maybe a little full on for younger readers that I know. It influences girls in a way of falling in love with a perfect guy and boys wanting to be perfect.

Though I still think they are good books for sensible, teenagers or mature pre teens. As long as they don't take it to seriously or decide that they are going to hunt down vampire ashes.
I think Bella's a really good influence for teenage girls. I look up to her because she didn't let being an outsider get her down. She accepts that shes average and doesn't try to be someone she's not. And it made millions of teenage girls want to be vampires.
i know that the girls at my school that dont read at all actually read it, so i guess u could mention that. i thought it was amazing, but it didnt influence me. i know it did influence some people.....
i think that the books have made reading more popular. just because these books are so popular.
