At what age do you think teenage boys start working out?

At what age do you think teenage boys shuld start working out?

I am currently 14, i am scared if i start to early i will injure my growth. At what age do you think teenage boys start working out?
Everyone, including children, should exercise daily. If you're talking about weightlifting, that's probably okay as long as you use lighter weights and do NOT feel pressured to lift too much weight for your body. You should really ask your doctor about this :-) Good luck!At what age do you think teenage boys start working out?
weight training can compress the growth plates in your bones and stunt your growth. If you're already as tall as you want to be this isn't a problem.
Well daily excercise is always good, but for a teenager doing weights.....i guess 14 is good but i have heard that while working out young it will stent your growth, whether it is true i don't know. Ask your dr. and they will advise you
ya u r right if u will start now your growth will stop normally a boy grows till the age of 17 so thats thw time when u cud start working out in jim
Boys should work out after they are they are develped. For now just do fitness stuff like running, football hockey soccer etc. You shouldn't work a muscle that is not developed yet.
Working out?

Hey boy, think of your mind first!

It's time you should think about study, friendship, love, sex, reading, music, travel, hobby, etc. etc.....
right now just get in shape by running and getting excercise.Your body is still developing.

There are wrong ways to lift weights which can hurt you.

Get with a football coach for advise
my idea is in 20
Usually, teenage boys will start working out at the gym when

they reach 17 or 18 years old, because by that time their bodies

are fully developed and they need to shape up with good-looking

muscles.

Since you're 14 years old, I would suggest that you can do light

work-outs only, as your body is still growing. Be patient for a

while until you're bigger and older. Okay?
first of all, you should be asking this q to your doctor, as no one here will have your medical history.

That being said, generally 15-16 is fine to start working out with light weights. concentrate on form rather than how heavy you can lift.

But above all, get to your doc rather than trust anyone here on Yahoo! answers. We're all frankly unqualified to render a authoritative opinion.
I don't think I've heard anything about working out as a younger teen injuring your growth. If you've heard this before, just run it by your doctor before you do anything. I think it's great that you want to work out and take care of your body at a younger age-that's awesome. I don't think 14 is too early to start personally. Just start by taking it easy and work your way up to doing harder workouts. Best of luck!
